My new book OBJECT 10 is now available to order from the publisher Floating World Comics site. It presents a big selection of my drawings. 80 pages, hardcover 9.25 x 12.25 (inch) in color and a couple of b&w images as well.

A nice review of Titan #1 from Justin Giampaoli:

“There’s no false utopia presented in Vigneault’s future world, merely an aspirational sci-fi narrative that allows us to reflect back on our own social issues through the lens of this re-contextualization process. Vigneault’s lines dance between a sort of Herge influenced European classicism, complete with ligne-claire coifs of hair, and the full-bodied beady sweat style of many modern alt cartoonists, running the erratic lineage from Robert Crumb to Charles Burns to Noah Van Sciver. Vigneault is generous with his world-building backgrounds, and offers a warm tri-color glow of black, white, and an orange hue that gives the impression of what life must be like on a distant moon orbiting a gas giant planet. Compiling the first two installments of a planned six, complete with an unexpected intimate cliffhanger, it also gives me the impression that I can’t wait to see what’s next in this series. ”

“Vigneault’s really cleaned up a lot of the rough edges in his art (I credit that in part to those excellent bird minicomics he likes to draw) and has added a layer of style that makes this a smooth but still highly personal read. The format, design and every aspect of production make this a beautiful comic to look at. Fans of ‘hard’ sci-fi will enjoy the way that certain details regarding life on Titan play out sociologically and in terms of technology, especially in the way that technology has the potential to completely erase a way of life.”

The release of my new book OBJECT 10 is getting close.

Some advance copies just arrived and Im very happy and proud of the result.

Just like OBJECT 5 the book is published by Floating World Comics in Portland

and will be out on July 4th with preorders starting from June 17th.

80 pages hardcover 24 x 31,5 cm, mainly in color with a few pages

of b&w work.

“It’s worth the money for the tactile experience of reading a comic where somebody actively cared what paper it as printed on, not to mention living in a world where there’s more physical evidence of Farel Dalyrmple’s art… some of his best work yet. All imperfect lines and understated watercolors, he relies on three-tier, six-panel layouts as a default but seems itching to break the formula, which he does frequently and gleefully, often making amazing use of the negative gutter space as parts of his panels bleed out into it or inhabit the white space entirely. It’s always interesting for the reader as the artist keeps himself on his toes.”

“François Vigneault has created a multifaceted, fully dimensional universe in these opening two chapters of a six-part series. Any science fiction fan can quickly find themselves comfortable in the setting of this tension-filled moon. But the setting on the moon feels unfamiliar because it’s so specific, so unique to Vigneault’s imagination and so full-fledged in its vision… The settings of the mining colony are presented in small but telling details in the foreground and background—we’re neither overwhelmed nor underwhelmed by detail. Instead we get just enough detail in Vigneault’s artwork—wonderfully presented in black, white and orange—to make Titan come alive as we read about it.”
